Great Headphones

These are some great headphones for listening to in a RED helmet, or to and from the mountain in the headset. The sound quality is great. However, there are a few issues; one being that they are a bit heavy. So if you don't have them on your head just right while boarding with them in the headset not your helmet and you have a hard landing, they will go flying off your head. Another issue is that they make this really annoying squeak when you mess with them when they are fully pulled out, thinking about filing one of the parts down that rub against each-other. Have ridden with it about 10x so far, and have had no issues at all besides the minor ones above.

Avoid these headphones!

The only thing good about these head phones is how they sound. Unfortunately, The sound usually stops working after less than a days use. The head set on these phones shorted out after only one hour of use! I exchanged them and for some reason Dogfunk sent me a set with an entirely different, bulky, and obnoxious chord attached to the headset. This new pair lasted about six hours on the mountain before the chord with the inline volume control broke in not one but two places!! These headphones are seriously defective. I would not recommend these to anyone!!!!!

Couldn't be any bigger...or better

Very impressed with the sound and fit. Love that it only has one cord so that I dont have to worry about getting tangled up anymore. I use these in the car and while I am walking my dogs...couldnt ask for anything better!

Does dogfunk included the Smartphone Cord and if so does it do any more than volume and mute controls?

The redphones comes with the connection cable to be used in RED helmets, it has a mute button and volume control and that is all. The sound quality is amazing.

Red Redphones Premium Dj Headset

Quality sound that can go in your helmet! If you want the best sound in your Red Helmet, go with these over the regular Redphones. You get a larger driver and DJ quality headphones you can use off the slopes too. Redphones pop out easily and slide right into the ear pad on the helmet.

Do these have a mute button? If so, where is it located. The past RED Mutiny helmet I had there was a mute button on the ear of the helmet. Didn't have to dig in my jacket to mute or pause to be able to talk to my friends at the bottom of the lift.

It has a mute button on the controls that hang from the cord. It also has the volume controls.

nice, but...

I wore these for a day at half volume and never tested the full volume until towards the end of the day, and when I did, one of the speakers was blown. Dont know if it was like that when I got or happened from turning it up? Very easy to use and comfortable in my helmet too(RED mutiny II). Dogfunk has already shipped me out a new set so Im happy. Gotta love that customer service... YEEE!!

Rockin' Headphones

These headphones are everything I could want whether I'm sitting on my couch or shredding powder. The headphones deliver quality sound with comfort. There could be some more bass, but overall 5 stars

better then expected

i got these mainly to listen to while i was skiing, but i tried them on and i was very impressed with the construction of the headphone and the sound quality of the 57mm drivers. the over ear design is practical and comfortable, and they dont make you look like a total dork. the speaker its self fits inside any RED helmet and they also fit inside some of the K2 Edge helmets. the cord for the helmet application has a mute and volume nob on it with a clip for your jacket. the headphone wire is about 5ft long and is coiled in the mid section.

better then expected

Throw em in a Helmet!!

I've been wearing the Red-Phones paired in a Mutiny II Helmet this year and so far they are killer!!! Adjustable volume on the cord and crafty clip to secure inside your jacket. Easy to take in and out from the helmet liner for travel tunes and the headset's comfy enough to rock all day at the office, house or travels. The REDPHONES pair with multiple RED helmets and were designed in unison so make sure to pair them up accordingly and rock out at your hill of choice!!!!

Good in helmet

I picked these up the other day and have been listening to the headset a bunch, and tried them in the helmet once. They sound quite nice in the helmet, good volume and quality. In the headset however they don't sound as nice. The quality isn't terrible just not that of 90$ headphones. If you need headphones and want to listen to music while riding then I'd say these are a pretty good bet. If you don't really need the phones, and just need some on hill music, then just go for the standard redphones
