The price is great. The helmet will keep you safe. With the use of the ear pads it will keep you warm as well. I have had this for 3 years now and with many falls along with one deadly it still has still survived with not many visible dents, dings, or cracks. overall a well made helmet.

Please explain the Certification rating system What do the ASTM 2040 CE EN 1077 mean? What does class B mean?

ASTM is the American Society for Testing and Materials, and 2040 means it's designated for non-motorized snow sports.

CEN 1077 is another safety rating, from a different organization. Class B and A just differentiate levels of coverage. Class A is considered slightly safer in terms of coverage, but in terms of impact strength and penetration, most snow helmets are the same.
