    Push your limits.

Designed for and refined by some of Europe's top climbers, the Red Chilis Men's Matador VCR Climbing Shoe is a precise and powerful shoe capable of handling the most demanding routes and technical problems. The super-tensioned, low-stretch upper and downturned last help you maintain grip on steep and overhanging routes, while the sensitive midsole gives great feedback without sacrificing power. The pointed toe helps you find tiny pockets in the rock, and bonus rubber on the toe increases traction and durability. From sessions at the local gym to multi-pitch sport climbs, push yourself harder with Red Chilis' most advanced shoe.

    Bomber shoes

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 11us 10uk

I had the lace version before these.
I love the feel of these so far, stick to stuff like a bug, no movement within shoe.
Surprisingly comfortable and flexible, extra rubber gives the shoe a super robust feel without feeling too bulky. My toes feel safer in this shoe.
A little heavier than the lace but that's not a big concern for me.
The lace didn't disappoint, these seem to be even better.
Fits true to street shoe size, but I wear my street shoes tight too.

    Rad Rubber

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 11.0

Great shoe. Just ordered a second pair after putting the first through a season of gym bouldering and outdoors on weekends. Takes a week or two to break in but after that, it's on. Comparable to the 5.10 rubber in my opinion. A little stiff and slippy out the box. I only wear aggressive shoes and these fit the bill. In reference to the previous review, small holes in the top of the toe only happens when you drag your foot up smearing. The stabilization helps to get the send but will ruin any shoe. Just saying....l don't get a penny for a good opinion but I really like this shoe and will continue wearing them.

    Wear Out Really Fast

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I bought these shoes while my other pair was being resoled. I wore them outdoor climbing a total of about 4-5 weekends and I already put a small hole in top of the toe. I guess that was why they are on such a great sale. They perform great on overhangs and climbs with small pockets, and they even smear rather well. Performance wise these shoes get 4-5 stars. I sized them down a half size from my street shoe and they fit just right; they stretch very slightly, not even a half size. They're comfortable enough that I don't need to take them off right after each climb, and are excellent for bouldering sessions. I really like the three velcro straps as they allow you to get a nice tight fit.

Hey, I've been climbing for a few years now in some comfy mad rocks (really better for cracking) and I just picked up a pair of these chili peppers in a size below my typical shoe size. I know they're purportedly designed for "low stretch", but does that mean they won't stretch out at all with use?

These shoes are almost entirely synthetic material design - that being that they will have very minimal stretch (quarter size at most)

As with all shoes, they will tend to mold to your foot after a bit of use, but if they fit super tight (painful) - I would suggest returning them going a half size to size up (depending on how tight) - Our customer service is killer!
