RED designed the Buzzcap with all the features of the popular Skycap Helmet. This design has set the standard for helmets with adjustable ventilation and tough ABS shells. Adjustable chinstrap quickly secures the helmet, and a removable gasket holds goggles in place to eliminate countless readjustments. The inside is softly padded so junior will keep it on all day. - Fall 2008.

It would work, but likely be too hot. There's a lot of insulation in it to keep the tykes warm while skiing, so if it's not cold outside he could overheat.

First off, it's my fault for not figuring in the "child factor", as I am now calling it.
Kids are crazy picky about how everything "feels".
My son said it "smashes my ears", so it's getting returned.
I would have gone up a size, but I didn't like the exposed plastic pieces that make up the temple section of the tensioning system. Looks like a great system, but the pieces that don't get covered with pads or fabric would definitely bug my kids.
And anyone with kids knows, you can't give them ANY excuses to take that thing off!
Oh well. I'll keep looking.
