Treklite Soft Shell Pant - Men's

Let the fog roll in, or the wind blow, or drizzle do its thing—keep pushing to your destination in the Rab Men’s Treklite Soft Shell Pant. Lightweight and stretchy, the Treklite is wind- and water-resistant enough for less-than-perfect conditions. Articulated knees and a stretchy waist add to your comfort as you clamber over crags, and ; the polyamide-spandex blend fabric also wicks moisture and dries quickly when the trail gets steep. A variety of pockets help you keep track of small essentials.

Bottom Line: Soft and stretchy, but tough enough for 3-season alpine adventures.

First of all, I have the fall 2010 (I think) pants. All the pockets seem to be different on the newer model. The material is a "dobby" poly spandex blend and is super stretchy, adequate in terms of durability. At 6ft 180lbs with a 33waist and 32inseam, the fit of the Medium was WAY off. I had to get 2 inches cut from the length. There seems to be extra material around the seat area, with the stride being a bit too long. Zippers work fine, but the button snap is plastic, which I'm not crazy about. However, the material is really wind and water resistant, at least "out of the box". Haven't washed them yet, but I think the tight weave of the fabric will continue to bead water. Pretty decent pant.

Fit aside, the material on these softshell pants is super nice. Really stretchy, weather resistant and durable. They are still going strong! I believe Rab discontinued this pant, but props to them for the fabric, even if the fit is a bit off.

At first I was a little concerned with the style, But quickly changed my mind based on how well the garment fit in the seat and the overall comfort won me over, I still have them and wear them though out the winter and into spring. They are classy enough to wear around the town and versatile enough to take off on a run through the woods. They don't bind bunch or chaff. I was pleasantly surprised.
