The breathability of Polartec in an insulating layer.
Add the Rab Men's Strata Flex Jacket to your arsenal of insulating layers, and then take take all the others and donate them. Thanks to 60g Polartec Alpha insulation, the Strata Flex is breathable, insulating, and lightweight enough to go under your shell without making you feeling all puffed up. Pertex microlight fabric is used in the body to save on weight, while Polartec Power Stretch is used on the underarms for better stretch and breathability where you sweat the most. Thumbloops keep the heat in and allow for a seamless fit with your gloves, and 2 zippered hand pockets mean you can wear it on it's own on cool, clear days.

Great product I will recommend it, I like the Thumb loops and had warmer packets. It is warm but the side panels are not wind resistant at all. I have tried other jackets that have stretch side panes like the Atom LT and they do not have this problem.
Great jacket for layering. the jacket fits close to the body and its not bulky at all.
This jacket did not fit on me because its slim fit cut. I am 41 chest and 32 waist, and the medium was very tight on me, and the large arms length were too long on me; other than thatt great jacket.

I use this for running in the winter. It is very warm and has plenty of movement. This Rab keeps me warm and dry. I really couldn't ask for anything more.
Rab & Polartec Alpha
Polartec Alpha is the latest evolution of synthetic insulation, offering a rare combination of light-weight warmth and true breathability.
We use Alpha throughout our Strata collection, which was designed and tested with our professional athletes on an expedition to climb new lines in Arctic Norway.
