Description

A versatile, storm-resistant bivy that enhances your snoozing on the wall or while trekking through the hills.

The joy of sleeping directly beneath the stars melts away when a storm rolls in overnight. But if you slip your bag and your tired self inside the Rab Sierra Bugaboo II Bivy then you can keep snoring as the rain beads off and rolls onto the ground. Built for most backpacking or climbing situations, this wide bivy can fit your puffy down sleeping bag during big wall ascents as well as help to keep the bugs away during summer light-packing trips. Weatherproof breathable fabric, zippered T-entry, and a mesh window enable lots of versatility during summer missions in stormy alpine reaches or the low country.

  • Three-layer waterproof breathable eVent fabric, fully taped seams, and a tough, waterproof-coated bathtub floor protect you from blowing rain, dew, and frost
  • Wire brim at the head blocks the elements when you open the zipper and a mesh window provides ample ventilation while blocking out biting insects
  • One-size-fits-all design provides ample interior space (11.8in height, 31.5in width at shoulder) for you, your layers, and your lofty sleeping bag
  • Water-resistant center T-zip allows easy entry-exit
  • At 25 ounces, this ideal bivy provides overnight protection with minimal weight for big-wall climbing or ultralight backpacking
  • Included stuff sack protects the bivy sack and shrinks it down to a 11.8 x 3.9in package for easy storage in a pack or haul bag

It makes a difference

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've had mine for some time now -- years.

I recently used it with just the fly and ground cloth portions of a tent in Michigan -- rained like cats and dogs.

My brother didn't have a bivy sack, just sleeping bag and air mattress, got wet and ended up sleeping in the car.

I also had an air mattress underneath a closed cell foam Z pad by Thermarest. under my Mtn Hardware 20 degree modern synthetic sleeping bag

I slept like a baby.
