Weak supporting pole of Rab Ridge Bivy

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

First, let me say that the customer support of backcountry is incredibly good, supportive & understanding. The supporting pole that raises the canopy directly above the entry / exit snapped on my 1st attempt to put the Bivy together as a test run. The dimensions allowing the pole to be inserted / released - in / from the side hole/eye (outside the bivy proper) are so tight, one has to apply so much force. The result is snapping of the pole. I hope Rab will introduce Rab Ridge Bivy II soon with a slightly expanded dimensions that allows the easy insertion & release of the canopy's supporting pole. Otherwise , it's an incredible product ! Second, a shout out to the Rab's support & service team for their awesome response in replacing the broken pole. However, I had to return the Bivy back to Backcountry out of fear that the same experience would repeat (thus the two stars) on my 3 months out of country trip. Didn't want to take a chance. P.S. the same snapping experience is also described by one experienced British camper who (wrote a thorough & long review of the product) also suggested to Rab that the dimensions should also be slightly altered allowing the easier insertion & release of the pole.
