Thru rain and shine

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Neo came in handy hiking some moors and bens in northern Scotland. Stayed secured thru 15hr day "walks" and kept my legs dry from the biting rain/snow. I took these thru knee deep snow drifts, never had snow sneak thru the tops or come up from the bottom (AWESOME!). Breathability - excellent!

Rab & Polartec NeoShell

Polartec NeoShell is the first fabric to combine the superior breathability, ventilation and stretch of a softshell with the waterproof protection of a hardshell.

NeoShell uses a unique membrane which blocks 99.9% of the wind whilst offering levels of stretch you would expect to find on a high performance softshell product.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Had real trouble fitting these around my herculean calves while merely testing them on the sofa. Imagining myself struggling to attach them while sinking into the snow, with gloves on, I quickly decided that they were not for me.

If you're skinny, I bet they are just the thing. Well made with nice design features.
