You might be thinking it sounds too good to be true, but since the jacket is made with the highly breathable and waterproof three-layer Polartec Neoshell, you'll have to believe us when we say this jacket lives up to the hype.

Polartec Neoshell stands apart from traditional waterproof, breathable shells since the membrane is nearly twice as breathable as traditional hardshells. This may lead you to believe that the jacket sacrifices weather protection in the same way traditional softshells do, but with fully taped seams, a DWR finish, and a shell that blocks 99% of wind, the Neo Alpine delivers all the protection from wet weather you'll need. The Neo Alpine is cut to accommodate alpine climbers with a regular fit that allows for extra layers to be worn under the shell, and a wire-brimmed hood that fits comfortably over a climbing helmet. All zippers on the jacket are highly water-resistant YKK Aquaguard zippers, while the adjustable cuffs and hem allow minor adjustments to the fit of the jacket to be made when you're on the move. Since the Polartec Neoshell membrane is so breathable, the jacket does not need underarm vents, which helps save weight and reduce the amount of area where moisture might work through.
