M14 Glove

If dry-tooling fanatics and ice climbers could agree on one thing regarding their respective sports, it would mostly likely be that one must never let go of their axes. And that's precisely what Rab had in mind when it created the M14 Glove. The glove features Pittards Oiltack leather on the palm, which ensures you have a sticky grip on any surface. The main body of M14 consists of the windproof and weather-resistant Matrix fabric—so not only do you remain well protected, but it also allows enough air to circulate in order to prevent your hands from overheating.

Additionally, the M14 is loaded with protective features that keep your hand comfortable despite its lightweight design. Its palm and pinky have a reinforced sidewall that prevents blistering after holding onto an axe for a long time. Not to mention, Rab included an additional reinforcement pad on your pinky finger joint so you won't rub uncomfortably on the bottom loop of your axe. The hook-and-loop closure provides a personalized, secure fit, and Rab lengthened this cuff so the sleeves of your jacket can ride over the glove for more protection against the elements.

I love these leather gloves.

I love these leather gloves. Reading the purpose in the description I thought they might be a bit of a one trick pony, but they are suitable for most things. The leather palms are sticky and not slippy in the slightest. They handle ropes really well and the dexterity is ace. Being quite tight fitting they don’t keep your hands that warm. They offer minimal protection against the cold, but in high output activities that require holding items they excel. Dry tooling, alpinism, scrambling and easy climbing etc.

Great glove

Great glove for in the hills scrambling around. Felt comfortable if slightly tight having followed the size guide. Next time would go up a size .

Departure from normal Rab quality

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Rab is normally great. These gloves, not so much. Way too thin for any reasonable warmth and not any more ?sensitive? than a pair of gardening gloves would be. I?ll pick up something else for ice climbing this season.

Sticky, Sticky, and more stick!

These gloves are the stickiest pair of gloves I have ever climbed in! They fit snug just the way you want for mixed climbing. You do give up warmth for these great climbing gloves but these gloves are made to climb and they do that well.
