M14 Glove

If dry-tooling fanatics and ice climbers could agree on one thing about their sports it would be to never let go of their axes. That's what Rab had in mind with its M14 Glove. Rab integrated Pittards Oiltack leather onto the palm of this lightweight glove so you have a sticky grip on any surface—this means you'll sure as hell stick to your axe even when your forearms are pumped out. The main component of the glove is made out of Polartec Power Shield Pro fabric. This fabric blocks 98% of wind so your fingers don't get numb halfway through your expedition, but it also allows enough air to circulate in order to keep your hands from overheating. Its surface repels water so ice climbers won't get soggy hands after a few routes.

The M14 is loaded with protective features that keep your hand comfortable despite its lightweight design. Its palm and pinky have a reinforced sidewall that prevents blistering after holding onto an axe for a long time. Rab included an additional reinforcement pad on your pinky finger joint so you won't rub uncomfortably on the bottom loop of your axe. The glove's knuckles are also reinforced so you won't feel like cursing the entire world even if it's the fifth time your knuckles have grazed the wall. The hook-and-loop closure cinches this glove down tight over the airprene cuff, which is slightly like neoprene except it breathes more for your comfort. Rab lengthened this cuff so the sleeves of your jacket can ride over the glove for more protection against the elements.
