Rab Fusion Softshell Jacket - Men's - 2009 BCS

I'm Japanese.
I had already had Latok jacket of Rab.
Even the same S size of this Fusion jacket was a little tight though the size of the Latok jacket was just good in S-size.
Maybe,is because it is a softshell...

But,I like this shape of hood.

6ft 165lb average build M fits perfect. the materials come up big! between pertex and eVent this thing breathes like none other! no lining whatsoever is ideal, so it feels more like a hardshell both on the outside and inside, but stretches like a softshell. the neck is high like in the pictures and with the hood cinched down you're storm proof. plan on using this both in the summer and winter for ALL conditions... its that good. even without a roomy fit i can throw my montane down jacket underneath because the cut is so good and even with high activity im not choked up inside. details are everywhere, materials are the best possible, fit is perfect, hood and neck: perfect, and craftsmanship is worth $500. if you can only buy one jacket this is it, and if you can afford two... get two of these!

The folks at Rab hit the nail on the head with this jacket. I am a big fan of the Pertex equilibrium material. If you haven't experienced it, do some reading on it. The breathability of this jacket is top in class. If I were going to spend a week in weather that was pouring rain or snow and had winds over 60mph, I would drop this and take a full eVent storm shell. For everything else where your life is not on the line due to extreme weather, grab this jacket.

This is an awesome jacket but not your casual wear around town softshell. It is burly, seems like it could withstand any conditions with the exception of extended rains. It was overkill for my needs so I returned it but for the right application would be perfect.
