Outlast the cold.
Above treeline, where temperatures are cold and exhaustion lies just below the surface, every ounce counts. So, it's a good thing you have the Rab Endurance Down Mittens. Weighing just over seven and a half ounces but packed with 650-fill down, these mittens ensure warmth in extreme environments. The durable Pertex Endurance outer is reinforced with abrasion resistant panels on the palm and finger tips to increase durability against ice, ropes, and tools. Simple wrist loops keep your mitts where they're supposed to be, and not rocketing down the side of the mountain. A wide opening offers easy on and off, and a drawcord closure keeps snow and drafts out, leaving your hand warm and ready to work.

I bought these for my husband as a gift. He loves them for long days in the mountains. His hands were able to stay warm while ice climbing last weekend in negative temps.
Personal oven for your hands
I need to start off by saying these mittens are amazing. I originally bought these for my fiance thinking that the medium size would fit her....I was wrong. Being too lazy to mail them back I decided to keep them for myself. I am typically a glove guy and was only going to use these as a back up if my stuff main glove got wet. Well if luck (or unluck) my have it my primary gloves were torn to shreds from my trekking poles (Black Diamond Carbon Fiber poles have a sand paper grip in the upper shaft). Since my gloves were discontinued and I could not replace them in time I decided to use my Rab mittens.
First thought that came to my mind was WOW. These things warmed up my hands like you could not imagine. It was like having my hands in an oven. I have tested these mittens in crazy conditions such as hiking Mt. Washington in negative degree temperatures, and on many other winter trips in the White Mountains.
Have you ever experienced the pain in your fingers when they are cold? This has happened to me many times when I did not have a good glove on or if I had taken my gloves off to use my camera. With this mitten your hands are always warm (sometimes too warm) and brings back all feeling to your fingers if they were exposed too long. Well worth the price! Just a caution, they are down so I would not use them if it was snowing out. You can check pictures of them being used on my instagram @mattcdonofrio
