Description

Lighten your load on your next hike.

Can't decide between your clunky hiking boots and your unsupportive running shoes? Now you don't have to thanks to the Puma Ecosphere Men's Lite Hike Mid Boot. It's rugged and supportive like a boot, but made with ultra-lightweight materials to make you feel like you're in a pair of trail runners. Plus, they're made with eco-friendly materials so you don't feel guilty about what's on your feet when you're out in the woods.

An airy mesh upper conforms to the shape of your foot and is highly breathable to help your feet stay cool, and it's made with 50% recycled PET (the stuff plastic bottles are made of) to reduce waste. The Eco-Ortholite EVA footbed cushions your step and compression-molded Faas foam in the midsole absorbs shock to protect your feet on rough trails. An EVA outsole greatly reduces weight to keep the boot lightweight, while Ever-Track rubber in strategically-placed contact points maintains traction and durability so you can still get after it when the going gets rough.

Gamble to Scramble

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

With no reviews on these and no knowledge of the fit I feel confident in saying I took a gamble on them. I was pleasantly surprised. I tend to wear between a 10.5 and 11. An 11 with socks on and a 10.5 without, luckily these fit ok but not perfect with socks on, however felt miraculous without.

I used them to hike Arches, Zion, Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, and as an every day driving shoe. All of this was done in the same week without any break in period.

Bottom line: I thoroughly enjoyed the quality and fit/comfort of these shoes. If you can find them, buy them. I would say they feel like they run a little small, however I wouldn't buy a size larger, just be mindful of your sock thickness.
