quality craftsmanship, odd fit

This jacket is the most high quality of ultra light down I've tried, the construction and materials make this a very durable piece. However at 6'1, 180+lbs, 33.5'' sleeve, 32'' waist, and 40'' chest the medium was to short and tight at my waist. The Large is too baggy (pictured). Made in canada and designed in cali. The down backed zipper is not something you see in many other ultralites but makes the jacket like a true fortress in the cold. The fabric is tuff on the outside, quite weather proof. Inside has thinner fabric and lets you feel the loft of the down. The hood can give you a righteous cone head, the hood adjuster is pretty basic and doesnt help your look if your going for one but it's warm and wraps around your head. The nicest feature are the down backed pockets, down on both sides of your hand when you slide those in freezing is such a nice feeling. I wanted to love this jacket forever but the fit wasnt right and so im going with the cerium lt by arc teryx.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

i swear im a 32 waist, i swear it. ha. but seriously i usually go for medium in shorts and I found these to be restricting in that size, the large ended up a much better fit for my frame. I am 6' 1 180. very lite and attractive. but elastic waist band is coming apart and piling much after a couple washes,
