The first thing I noticed is that they run a little small but I figured that was okay. I use them for walking and tried them out. The underpart did not stay put and kept working it's way up. It was quite uncomfortable. I got these because I wanted another bright color other than the orange North Face shorts I got. I'm sure they are great shorts but for me, the crawling up my backside was a definite deal breaker.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used these pants for walking for several months now. Repeated washings and packing the pockets. I love them. Zipping the bottoms of the legs on and off is a snap. The stitching started to give on one pocket on one pair but I stitched over it and they are good to go.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I used these once in a heavy rain. They seemed to keep me dry but I noticed the knees of my pants and the front of them from the knees to the hem were wet so I want to try again to see how they do. As others have said, these run small. I bought an XL because of the reviews and they fit quite well. I wear a 34 waist.

I was worried about breathability because when I work hard I perspire a lot. Can't stand vinyl feeling cloth sticking to my skin. I've used this jacket several times and have had NO problem with it getting all sticky. It keeps me quite dry and when I start to heat up, I unzip the armpits and cool right down. I know some have complained about the small velcro tabs but I've had no problems with them at all. I use the jacket for walking long distances and in the Puget Sound area we get serious rain. I stay totally dry. I like the way the hood can be put into the color. Additionally, I love the fabric on the collar and cuffs. No irritation on my neck or chin. I put my cell in the little zip pocket up front and there's lots of room in the lower pockets to store all kinds of things. Although I'm a woman, I am tall and I have broad shoulders and long arms so I got a men's jacket. I'm glad because it's JUST RIGHT.

I just tested my jacket in the pouring rain. When I walk, I perspire heavily and I wanted something that would breath yet keep me dry. When I started to get really warm, I unzipped the pit zippers and was quite comfortable. I would recommend getting something to attach to the pit zipper tabs. Those things are so teensy that I had to take my gloves off to use the zipper. The hood bill stuck out enough to keep my glasses dry yet, by sizing the hood, I could see out the sides when turning my head. The jacket is light and packs small. It's also comfortable with the nice cloth around the cuffs and collar so your skin doesn't get chafed. I am quite pleased. Although I'm a woman, I got the men's jacket because I have long arms and the women's jacket sleeves are WAY too short.
