I have a few Marmot flannel's. I'm built more like a Clydesdale than a thoroughbred, and these things are a good midlayer for me. I work in them outside during the winter, but you can go to town in them as well.

Perfect for all but the coldest of days with a wind blowing. I love vests for active stuff because of freedom of movement and letting the sleeves on my flannel do my cooling for me. Marmot just makes good stuff, and the fit is slim enough for putting another layer on if needed.

I'm not a small dude. I ski 188's, so I smoke down the mountain. I have to have extra room, and since I'm built like a lummox, I need tough. These things are Chris Farley proof. I put on my red long underwear, hit the spring slopes, and make all the kids happy because they saw Mario ski. Trees fear me, and these pants hold up.

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Fit: Runs small

I was looking forward to wearing this thing as I have some other H/H gear that is top notch. All of it was arctic wear, and not near as casual as this. Helly Hansen products. I expected it to run, slim, but I could have done a Hulk pose and ripped out the yoke. I'm not a monster meathead (Do you even lift, bro?) or anything, just a big guy. I gave it to my buddy, and he loves it. He wore it to a fancy golf tournament dinner after playing in it.
