Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Great fleece so far, mostly positive things to say about it. I am 6'6" (thin) and picked up an XXL after wearing a similar Norrona product and finding an XL to be too small. Never wore an XXL in my life, but it does have a slim fit and I wanted room for a thicker sweater underneath. The neck is longer on this, with a little baggy-ness to it as well, but I do like this feature. However, the baggy-ness with me does tend to push the zipper portion in towards the neck, which I think I'm still trying to work out. If unzipped, the neck can also be pretty floppy, but it doesn't bother me at all. Overall, very warm for how light it is. I can see this jacket personally being worn down to 20 degrees or so with a light baselayer underneath assuming it isn't very windy, but these estimates are always a little different for everyone.

I was surprised how the exterior material felt when I received this jacket. Maybe I was expecting something a little more firmer, but it seems to be very snag resistant from my initial impressions, with A LOT of compression and a little stretch to it that can allow you to wear it as an underlayer under a waterproof/weatherproof/etc. shell as long as the sizing is nailed down (or as an outerlayer - I can wear a thicker sweater or a fleece underneath without any problem at all). I am 6'6", thin, and went with the XL in the blue. Hood fits perfectly, comes up and over and includes covering of the forehead. Definitely a unique look. I recently got it and tried it out in 20 degree weather with a -t-shirt underneath and felt warm just standing out for a little while. It is a just a little noisy when putting on and walking around in, but this isn't a concern like it may be for other people. The armpit area seems to accumulate the insulation, but that might just be the fit and the style that Norrona has (not enough to knock of a star, because it IS warm, unique and fits well for the most part). Anyone else experience this at all? But overall, a great jacket that is pretty functional to wear around.
