Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

I love the weight, the traction, and it has the right amount of cushioning for a minimalist type, speed type, fore to midfoot striking runner type shoe. I even dig the colors and have put them on to sport around town. I use them for trail running and for speed work on hills and a dirt track. They are great for these applications. Ok, so, now the but......The heel slips! It is just a little bit, but enough to be annoying after several miles. I have read it is because of the rock plate, but i don't think so. I think it is just how the heel itself fits. I've never had this issue before. Also, although the toe box is roomy enough for me, it comes to a weird and unnecessary point. Its like there is an extra centimeter of tip for no real reason. I am a Saucony guy and love their shoes and I want to love this one, but, ultimately I don't think I can live with the heel slip and they will be eventually returned.

Well, I run twice per week and this shoes is great for road or forrest service roads as long as there are no rocks on the road. the upper's on this shoe wore holes in each shoe with minimal use. I don't know if it was just this shoe as it was my first pair of kinvaras. the comfort to weight ratio is excellent, but the colors on this edition were poor. I would try this shoe again and hope for a different outcome with the upper material.

These, so far, have exceeded my expectations. They are super comfortable for my inteded appliction, which is to have a casual dress shoe for work to wear with khakis, cords, and jeans. They fit perfect for the size and give me the necessary width in the toe box that I need. They look great, feel great, and are what the doctor ordered. The jury is still out on durabiliy, but, since I mostly wear them inside I am hoping to get a long time out of them. A very good purchase.

The toe box is roomier than the past and the upper mesh flexes wonderfully to fit my wider than average foot. The cushioning is perfect for road, track, or forest service road running. The only negatives are that you have to unlace the top to slide your foot in so if you are trying to transition quickly it might be a pain, and, the colors are awful. So, if you are like me and prefer function over form, than these are wonderful running shoes for forefoot/mid strikers.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs large

My initial impression is that these shoes are wonderful. They fit like a slipper and offer good support. The heel to toe drop feels just right as a trail shoe. Tractions seems adequate for an all everything shoe and the fit was as described so order a half size small. The jury is still out on actual durabilty and this has been my personal issue with salomons in the past. I am a short course off road triathlete and do most of my running on trails and forest service roads. They seem to be great as long as you stay away from the big mud.

Ok, after using this shoe for the summer on several trail runs, I have returned it as the lugs on the sole seemed to wear out much faster than advertised. I am a forfoot runner and the lugs around the ball of my foot were almost worn down to nothing, but the top of the shoe still looked new. I still loved the fit of this shoe, but the tread still needs some work.
