I picked these up this spring. I built a ti gravel bike that I use for commuting also. I installed 700x33 Specialized Trigger tubeless tires and run them at 50psi. I upgraded from a 23mm WTB cross rim to this. The difference in weight and width was immediately noticeable. These wheel corner like they are on rails. I have put 800 miles on these so far, which is comprised of MUT, gravel roads and even a local trail that is flat and smooth. Flawless in every condition. On the MUT during a commute, the seams and heaves from heat are not even felt.

The only glitch I have had with these wheels so far is a broken spoke. Drive side rear let go last week at the nipple. Took it to my friend who does non-destructive inspections for the Air Force, and the x-ray showed the break was caused by torsional stressors. I am guessing a weakness in the spoke when threads were cut, then the building process did it in. No big deal to replace as the straight pull spokes go in and out very easy....except....nobody on the planet seems to carry DT revolution straightpull spokes! Even the 2014 catalog doesn't list them. If you are going to market a wheel as easy to repair by not using proprietary parts, don't use parts in a 2015 wheel that are obosolete!

That being said, these wheels are legit for what they are meant for. At 1500g, I would even venture to say cross would be no problem. These are the same rim as the BlackLabel mtb rim they use, so I think cross should be just fine.

Do you have the newer split style clamp version of the ENVE post yet? It is being shown on their website as available.

I bought these at chainlove even though the reviews bashed the lettering. I didn't care about the lettering and bought them anyways. As expected, the lettes came off during the first ride. Not in the wash, but while riding. No biggy, I was expecting it. Wore them two more times in the next month. After the third ride I noticed the chamois stitching was pulling out. That is no bueno. The chamois was hanging down in the back after the ride. I wash according to their instructions on their website BTW.

I have emailed their customer support as directed by chainloves email response since they only honor a warranty for 30 days, and will see what Castelli has to say.

I recieved these as a warranty replacement from Northwave for my Aerlite SBS shoes that were coming apart . First impression was they are very ventilated. The mesh uppers breathe very well. The sole isn't carbon or carbon reenforced, so the sole is nowhere near as stiff. Having ridden a carbon soled shoe for the last six years, I am noticing the difference in sole stiffness, particularly on longer rides. The arches of my feet seem to fatigue over 50k, which is something I have never noticed. For winter riding I don't think the mesh upper will be very warm, but a decent set of shoe covers should fix that.

Quality so far is A+
Sizing is the same as my Aerlites so it is 1 size larger than my old Aerators.
