Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

everyday to daycare.

by 3.5 she was riding a two wheel pedal bike on her own. a balance bike teaches bike riding, not a tricycle. we loved it so much and passed it on to our neighbor. it handled quite a few crashes with ease (purposefully done by our girl who likes danger). a terrific bike.

we're a fan.

such a fun ride. i love my capita saturnia - so reliable thru the park. however, this deck takes snowboarding to such a FUN level i never experienced before on any other board. i tested the SMF FK while my friend tested the capita horrorscope (the male version of this deck) and he loved it too - we both ended up getting these boards. size down! i have a 146 for the saturnia and with this i ride a 143. do it do it!

it's remarkably stable at speeds i didn't think it could handle.
great for buttering and for rails. great maneuverability / control thru spins.
my one issue with this board is landing sketch off a jump on the rocker version. it's really easy to wash out if you don't land completely centered. i prefer cambered center and rocker nose and tail.

these kind of fit big, but it's comfortable that way. they're a bit heavy, so not ideal if you want to walk a lot in these or run or sprint. but if you want to keep your feet warm and comfy as well as keep your style in tact, this is the shoe. i can skate a bit, but i'm not a skater, so can't touch on how these are for skaters.
