I was impressed with these pants out of the box, sturdy material, seemless zippers, adequate cuffguard and nicely sized exterior vents. Unfortunately Patagonia continues to cut their pants for square shaped people with stick legs. I'm 5'5" and 125lbs and ordered a small, needless to say they were huge in the waist and tight in the thighs. They would be fine for walking around I guess, but I'm not sure how you would skin or boot pack comfortably since they are so tight in the thigh area. I can hardly lift my leg or squat down once I put underlayers on. And even with the adjustable waist tabs and a belt, they felt all bunched up and cumbersome. Also, the back still looked like a giant snow scoop! They did get the length right and fit over my boot nicely. However there are no external zippers at the cuff so if you buckle and unbuckle your boots at the beginning/end of a run its kind of a pain to get at them. The color is pretty sweet too. So if you are skinny with no hips, these pants are for you, if you are muscular in the leg or have a few curves I wouldn't recommend them. Tele girls stay away! Patagonia, I really like your clothing, but when are you going to switch to a more athletic womens cut??!!
