I've skied with these boots four times now, for about an hour at a time, and they are great boots. The boots are very comfotable, plenty of toe room, my feet stay warm and dry. The boots are easy to put on and take off. I can lace them up and then forget about them until I take them off to drive home.

These SNS Pilot boots have an extra second pin across the bindings, about two inches behind the regular pivot pin at the toe. These pilot boots snap right into my ten year old Solomon SNS binding with no modifications and they work well together. The old bindings already had a notch to clear the extra pilot pin. I can't say if the pilot feature helps or not as I don't have pilot bindings.

They worked for me. I have two pair of skis with Solomon SNS bindings that are about ten years old. My Escape 7 Pilot boots snapped right into those bindings and work well with them. The literature from Solomon does not say if they intended the SNS Pilot boots to work with regular SNS bindings or not. My pilot boots have a second pivot pin about two inches behind the regular pivot pin on the toe, at the same height as the toe pin. You could check if your bindings have a notch to clear the extra pilot pin.
