I have several Defeet WoolEater bike socks and absolutely love them as the best socks I own. I wear them daily, even when I am not cycling. So out of curiosity I thought I would try their arm skins. I am slim and the XS fit great and didn't droop or itch during the ride, even though I worked up quite a sweat! They kept my arms toasty warm and never felt clammy or too roasting, even when the temperature rose. I like the unfinished seem at the top because it doesn't bind like a seemed edge might. I was a little careless and frayed the material when I pulled them off, unfortunately. I got mine on sale, even less than other synthetic arm skins, but wool is ooohhh soo much better. I wish they made leg warmers, my current wool leggings are too droopy. These have just the right amount of Lycra to make a nice fit.

This wool tank, while it looks striking, is not a beauty up close. It is made of high quality no itch fabric and set at an excellent price. I use it for an under layer and it is very comfortable, breathable and moisture wicking. I might wear it alone, but I don't think it would get any style awards, because the colors are sort of muted. Love the price, cheap for wool, I bought two.

IBEX merino wool may not be as high a quality as Icebreaker or Smartwool, but that doesn't mean that these aren't excellent leg warmers! These leg warmer are made with heavy weight wool, and I love the zippers at the ankle for quick escapes. I bought a small, and they are still a bit too big for me, but then I am unusually slender for a cyclist. They are plenty long to give good coverage from ankle to thigh and have a shaped leg for good fit at the knee. There is sticky tape to keep them up on the thigh, a nice touch but mine would never stay up on their own without tucking them under my cycling shorts to hold them up. I use them every morning when I commute to yoga and then shed them for the trip home when the temperature has risen roughly 30 degrees.

I just wish they made them in X-Small.
