I got one of these for a trip to The Maze at Canyonlands and it was perfect. I seriously would not recommend going without one.

using a map tool that matched the scale, I was able to get some surprisingly accurate coordinates for my gps.

The material/paper feels pretty sturdy. It was everything a map could be.

I am real happy with the stove. My only worry was low temperature but it turned out fine. I used in the evening and the morning when there was an overnight low of 20 F and it worked like a charm. The graph on the package shows the performance suffers below 20 or so (it's not a real precise graph)

Boils a half-full container fast! Worked well with the container filled 95% too but it does take longer.

It is about 1" shorter than a nalgene 1L bottle and just slightly wider - FOR THE WHOLE THING! It's awesome how small it is when you pack it up! The 100g canister will fit inside the container along with all the other parts needed.

These socks are awesome! I have some sweaty feet and these manage the problem quite well. Normally within 30 minutes of starting a hike my feet start to get damp and uncomfortable. These socks kept my feet comfortable all day! The only down side is that they do seem to attract the sock stealing goblin pretty bad.

I was worried about being bothered by the material between my toes. The first two times I wore the socks around town I could feel it, but it never bothered me much. After wearing them a few times it's definitely no big deal. It says on the package to be patient with your first wear - so this must be the story for most people.

I really like this jacket - so much that I have 2. I am 6' 180 and normally wear a large t-shirt. The medium is a snug fit - not much room for layers under it, but it fits nicely under a coat. The large gives room for a little bit of layering as long as it's not super bulky. I am pretty impressed with how warm they are! The factory finish will repel light rain for a little while but it will eventually begin to absorb water if you get really wet. However, I sprayed one down with some generic waterproofer and it worked pretty well! I was in strong wind and medium rain for couple of hours and it didn't absorb water at all! One good shake of the jacket and it was dry. These are awesome and they make you look sexy

It's big! Very handy though. In my experience the lid was pretty easy to manage. I was even able to open it a couple of times while it was sitting in my backpack - just have to get the right angle with one or both of your thumbnails. I noticed a little difference at 75 vs 60 degrees on the amount of effort it took to bypass the snaps - not a big difference, but if it was super cold it may add up to something. If you are wearing gloves you would surely have to use some kind of pointy object to bypass the snaps anyway so maybe it's not a big deal. I'm happy with the product
