This jacket is warm. Very warm. It's light as well and compresses down pretty small (even smaller in a real stuff sack versus the one that comes with it).
It's my 4th layer (baselayer, light fleece, soft shell, micro puff, hard shell) for very, very cold winter ascents, cold belays, or 'extended' summit stays.

Used these in winter conditions on Colorado 14ers and 13ers; also, on Mont Blanc in high winds. Great mitt - VERY warm (as expected). However, I think for my hand the thumb portion starts a bit too shallow for my thumb and fingers to comfortably sit on the glove with complete dexterity. However, for such a warm mitt, the dexterity is still very good in comparison to others I have tried.

As far as glacier travel and other non-technical climbing scenarios, the Couloir is superior to the 220. They're not really in the same 'class' because the 220 is pretty much a normal harness whereas the Couloir is a lightweight harness primarily intended for situational use in the cold, when you are wearing a bunch of layers.
