This is the harness I've been seaching for since Petzl introduced the sport climbing versions which I simply do too much 'hang time' for those. Ths is comfy, secure and has plenty of racking loops to carry everything but a cooler! If you're not a lightness freak and spend long periods on rock faces, this harness is for you! I love this thing!

I'm on my 4th pair this summer. Had 1 seam blow out (replaced), then another had the wrong size tag on it. But both pairs have lost the fly button and needed to be re-sewn - no biggee for me. Just watch the pockets as they like to snag on things. Oh, and the zippers shoud be open when you pull up, not the way they are in this year's version. I lost a Clif bar on a climb that way -- coulda been worse. But these are super comfy, dry fast and go from crag to town easily.

As a professional rope access technician, I prefer the ball lock models while 90% of my colleagues prefer the Tri-Act version. Either is acceptable. Just up to you what you prefer.

That being said, I avoid the twist lock gates because, under certain, rare, circumstances they can become unscrewed and thus prone to opening. This a very rare event!! But I don't carry them on my professional rack nor my recreational climbing rack. But I'm a tad extreme about safety. That's just me.

In any case, you can't go wrong!
