Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs large

Alright... My first impressions of this were not great. It felt and looked a plastic bag. It was also a little bigger than I anticipated. I am 6ft 220 and I could have probably gone with a Medium. I almost returned it but I got it for cheap and thought I would give it a try for a light pack emergency wet weather. I ended up pulling out the other day when it was humid, rainy and close to 75. It was a little warm in the humidity but it kept me dry in the deluge and I felt it breathed well. By that evening it had dropped into the 20s and we had three inches of snow. It seemed to work well in that as well keeping me dry, although it really didn't give me any kind of warmth. If you are looking for a general no frills jacket for summer showers on your hike that packs light, this should work for you. If you layer it with a thermal or sweater underneath it might work for colder climates but I don't think it would hold up long for heavy use.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I bought this Jacket because I needed something a little warmer than the Apex Pneumatic Jacket I owned and use for train running early Spring/Summer/Fall. The Apex Bionic did the trick this is a great jacket if you are active outside on cold days (hiking, fall football games, walking around town etc.) You can feel the difference in the weight and thickness of this soft-shell compared to others.

However, This is not the jacket you want if you are sitting out in the cold (below 40) for long periods of time. It is build for action. It is also not a great layering piece so don't think you are going to warm it up with a sweater underneath. It fits true to size but there is NOT a lot of extra room for bulk underneath. I live in UpstateNY and I use this over my t-shirt or under armor for walks with the dog from 25-50 degrees and it is comfortable. It is also fine for walking into a store without sweating to death. I am happy with it's performance in the wind, the apex pneumatic definitely breaths better albeit for warmer temps but I still can't complain. This is a very comfortable and well made jacket.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this box for our family vacation. I use it on a Honda Odyssey with Thule a Thule Rack. The Box is great and I am amazed at the amount of gear I can put in it. It seemed really huge when it arrived and I was worried it would dwarf my van. Once I got it on it looks nice. It functions well and was easy to install. I was able to put in on myself. I drove it empty for a few days to see how it did with road noise etc, and then added gear for comparison. It was quieter than expected and I didn't have a lot more wind noise than with just the Thule Rack alone. I did not see a big dip in fuel economy either which was great.
The one problem I have with this is in it's storage. The claws that grip the crossbars don't come off like my old box and I am afraid might not stand up to the wear and tear of placing the box on a shelf with even just he weight of the box. I had to rig up a way to hang the box from my garage. The box is bulky and storing the box that way was not easy. Another con is that the travel on these claws is limited and I had to readjust the crossbars to make it fit even at it's maximum spread. Given that the box has to be placed forward so as to not interfere with the lift gate, requires that I place the rear crossbar up about a 10" closer to the front than I like it to be.This means each time I move from carrying the box to carrying my boats I have to readjust the crossbars.

The reason I give it 4 stars anyway is because most of the other boxes have the same issue. For carrying a lot of gear this is a great tool!
