Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: True to size
I was in the market for my upcoming trip to Whistler this spring for new mittens since my fingers last time got too cold in gloves. I have normal sized hands for my size (small, 5'1") and these fit perfectly, including with my OR liners on. They have an internal liner that is articulated for each finger so it was like wearing a glove within the mitten. Dexterity is surprisingly great and the fact that I can put them on (while wearing liners) and cinch down the wrist strap and gauntlet and take them off without using my teeth is superb. The leash will come in handy when I'm on the lift and want to access anything and need to slip them off. Note- these do not have a hand warmer pocket on the mittens themselves but do have a small pocket on the leash which is meant to hold a hand warmer. I assume that if it gets cold enough to need warmers you're supposed to have the cuff of the leash up inside the gauntlet? My trip is in a month so I'll update when I put these through the wringer. If these are as waterproof and warm as they're advertised then they'll get a perfect score.
