Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this and the Stoic Merino Crew at the same time. This one is perhaps not quite as soft as the Stoic and I find that I am aware of the seams when I am sitting at my desk at work. I have bought these mostly for use as undershirts which makes my opinion on it a bit different. That said, this shirt performs the way I expect.

I bought this along with a Smartwool Microweight T. Both are roughly the same weight. I found this shirt from Stoic to be slightly softer. The tail in the back has added length which is great if you plan to wear this while riding a bike.
That said, There are some curious things going on. The panel construction is nice rather than just a front and back. The thing that really gets me, however, is the collar. It says crew neck, right? But it's actually a crew neck peaking out behind a v. Great if you're okay with that, but it looks a little funny to my eyes, though I really envision wearing these as undershirts mostly.
