Decided to go a little more upscale with my work backpack. Dealing with more upper level customer management--so thought it was time to slightly improve my image and looking for something that could double as a simple and quick weekend bag. Since I am gypsy and live out of my suitcase everything needs to have at least double duty. So after reviewing various options this seemed to be the best.

Have had it for over one year (China, Mexico, Hong Kong, and counting) and it has held up. This is as expected because the quality was first class and very functional. As strictly a backpack it is not very good--but looking for a work/short trip backpack for which it excels at. The only thing that I wish it had (-1 star) would be a sternum strap that make it just a little more functional.

In summary--very pleased with the quality, features, and design of the backpack.

I cannot prove that these shorts provide all the touted benefits--but it seems that after runs or restarting to run after a few months off, I have much fewer recovery problems. Perhaps it is all in my head but that is over half the battle.

These could be great and well worth the cost except for the materials of construction--the thread for stitching. Over the years (numerous pairs) the inside seam at the thighs starts to fail and the seam opens up. This is probably after 6 - 9 months of use. You would think that for the cost CW-X could spring for better quality thread or is it planned. So when the failed spot gets big enough (yeah it would be easier if I would do it when the gap first starts) I break out the needle and thread and sew it up. Not pretty but it does the job and cheap thread seems to last just as long or longer than CW-X's.

While I like the shorts and all other CW-X products, I think I might try Zoots next.

They are great for what they are intended for but quality plays a big part--the only reason for the downgrade from Five Stars.

Well built pants. While a heavy duty cotton they don't appear to be stiff (only two washings so far). Good attention to detail with an extra layer of material reinforcing the back pockets and pant cuffs--back side. Based on other pants that I have, I would say that the sizing/fit is correct for the waist and inseam length.
