renan's Bio

As in climbing, so in art, so in life. In all three the full spectrum of emotions come into play. At times there will be uncertainty, insecurity and fear. At other times there will be inspiration and things will flow effortlessly.

Ultimately it is amazing that we are here at all. The more time we spend expressing ourselves through actions and thoughts the more richly we have lived. Climbing and art are two of the greatest vehicles I have found to carry me this direction.

I use this tent for real deal alpine climbs and any adventure where I want to have shelter and not deal with the fuss or weight of a bigger tent. A lot of the other tents like this on the market have interior pole design which is time consuming and frustrating to set up. When I'm tired after a long day of climbing I don't want to deal with that. Also, the drywall is the best fabric I've experienced so far for single wall tents. I'm impressed with this tent!

I love the Smith Chief glasses...they just fit me well. Its awesome that they make this model with polarchromatic glass which is perfect for variable light condition when climbing in the mountains. Its really a crucial feature when you are on a lead and you start out in bright conditions..then the light conditions change to shade and you are a no-fall situation...these lenses adjust and you can still focus on the crux at hand. The marvels of modern technology, so psyched!

The North Face Makalu is my current my go-to belay jacket for alpine climbing this past year.

A waterproof shell + primaloft insulation + lightweight construction = warmth in any conditions that is not super bulky/heavy to carry

This piece is higher performance than the 'perception' that is mentioned below..it a more minimalist design which is what u want in the mountains..hence no bulky stitched logos and such :)
