After a 3 year old down 'top of the line' coat from a certain Maine retailer fell apart due to shoddy materials and workmanship I decided to look elsewhere. Took a chance on this Downtown coat and am very happy. Ounce for ounce it's the warmest coat I've ever owned. Perfectly comfortable at 17 degrees and 50 mph wind driven snow of the NY XMas weekend Blizzard. Well made, totally seals up, wind and waterproof.

Hood is removeable but so light I leave it on. As others have mentioned, the fit is to the small side. I'm 5'6" 145 with short limbs and a 38" chest. The medium turned out to be the best fit for a winter coat I've ever had.

All in all, stylish, warm, well made. Hoping it lasts a long time.
