Bought the purple variety for the wife. She loves the color and the fit is amazing. Bought her the XS/S and fits like a glove. Secure and tight and no pressure (hot) spots to speak of. Took it riding and she liked the ventilation and weight, almost as if she wasn't wearing one. Only wish the orange had been on sale as well for myself.

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share

I picked these up honestly just for the color. My wife loves dark pink. These were wonderful on our cold & windy trip to the mountains. She like the lack of bulk these pants have. With just a base layer her worries about being cold were put to the side. Never had a hint to water penetration and breathed like a champ.

Well my wife loved them so much they are still on her feet, two weeks later. Seriously they performed great when skiing and she never complained about her feet being cold and when in the condo she loves the thick/soft feel about them.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am 6' 175 and the large is absolutely perfect. I had it under my shell in whistler and it performed like a champ. Not tight across the back and provided great movement and warmth. Never had an issue while winds were >80kmph and -8C. Only reason it does not have a 5th star is that there are some better jackets but this one is on the lower end of the best of the best

Comfortable but waterproofing is suspect

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Got this jacket today. Fit was good, I got a large (6' 175 athletic build). Arms are a little long but not anything bad. I will wear a MH Nitrous jacket under, so a little room is prefect. Have to completely agree with the wrist strap (velcro things) being a poor design and do not really work at all. Second, the waterproofing...suspect to me. This jacket had a hard time getting water to bead up on it, most seemed to pass through and keeping the outer layers very wet. On the inside some areas were damp . I had only walked from the parking lot to the store in pretty heavy rain. Not sure if I would trust this jacket if I needed to be outside for any significant period of time, in its current state. I live in Seattle so I am used to the rain but this did raise some concern.I am keeping the jacket and applying Nikwax TxDirect to remedy any problems. Love to orange color. And it really is comfortable. The underarm zippers do not get stuck up in your armpits which is a nice feature. I do like the jacket. Not to mention it's a good price at the Department of Goods.

Great Lightweight Jacket
5 5

I love this jacket. from the second i got it from UPS. Silky smooth on the inside and durable on the outside. Super lightweight and warm (never HOT). I live in Seattle and this winter has been wet in all the wrong ways. This jacket has handled it all without a moment of doubt. I am 6'0/190 and the large fits like a glove. sleeve length is prefect. The best part by far is the Dry Q Elite. When they say it breathes without humidity they are right. I never get too hot in this jacket. To test it I wore it at work (indoor office work) one night. Zipped up with a cotton t-shirt under. I was never too hot or even sweating. It is truly amazing how it works. I have used jackets that needed to be unzipped when active and this is the complete opposite. I believe DryQ Elite is the standard by which all jackets should be measured. Now for water proofing it continues to amaze me. Warm on the inside and can shed water like rain-x on the outside. coming in from a down poor - simply give it a shake and viola dry. I encourage everyone to get DryQ Elite from MH. Gravitor is just MH's entry level jacket but is a great steal for the price on BC.com beats some equally priced low end columbia jacket at the sporting goods stores by miles.
