Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

Picked this up a few weeks back, had it down to near 0F. Lots of dog walks in 10F, light wind and heavy snow. Layers well over an R1 fleece, haven't experienced any cold spots.

I'm very pleased with the Ama Dablam due to its compressibility, warmth in temps well below freezing, comfortable fit that minimizes dead space/heat loss.
And the hood.. one adjustment the first day I got it and none since. It stays completely out of my field of vision, making it a go-to for snowboarding or goating around in the mountains.

Size large fits me perfectly at 6'1", 210lbs. Bought this to replace a more bulky Arcteryx Dually Belay Jacket and so far it is a perfect layer that's done everything I could ask for. It fits easily into my not-so-large touring pack, so it's officially one of my go-to layers. A+

Overall this is a good draw. VW bones eliminate a lot of twisting to keep the biners oriented properly as much as possible. The bolt biner has a solid feel and very smooth action while the rope biner has a deep bend to make clipping a breeze. Almost never have to fiddle with the biner orientation or reclip due to the draw slipping.

I got a set of these and swapped out the dogbone for the thick, black BD vari-widths. Absolutely love them top to bottom now, effortless clipping to hangers and cleaning, rope clip is as sure and effortless as possible (less than hoodwires imo). Very happy with these biners and was surprised at how much I like them relative to more expensive biners. Very good value biners but I definitely prefer a thicker dogbone.
