Wouldn't trade this one

Familiarity: I've used it several times

Simply amazing. Light. Setup is easy(ish, with practice). Fun. Roomy. Inexpensive.

Pair it with a couple smaller tarps and some snow anchors and you get the picture attached.

Not bug proof at all unless paired with a mosquito net, if you plan to use it in the non-winter months. Just throwing that out there.

WARM
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Kept me warm well into the teens. Only tried it once so far. Definitely lofty! It's the bag on the left of the picture. Kind of hard to see (wasn't focused on taking gear pics at the time...), but there it is. Very warm. Not tons of foot room, but not too constricting either. I'm 5'11 and the length of the long was ideal for backcountry skiing, allowing me to shove my boot liners and some other stuff down at the bottom without feeling too cramped.

Enjoy!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs large

I wear a 7 5/8ths baseball hat (New Era fitted). Most trucker style hats look terrible on my huge dome or simply don't fit. I saw reviews on the Patagonia website saying that this was a hat for folks with larger heads and that is absolutely true. I don't know if it would fit smaller headed folk, which it may, but it certainly fits the bill if you have a larger sized head.

I loosen the hat from the "standard" position (all nubs in holes) two nubs for normal wear. If river rafting or heavy wind, sometimes I tighten it by one hole just to be sure.

The hat looks great, takes a beating, and keeps going. My first one is about 5 years old and is faded, but still looks good. Go get one, they are worth it!

These are nice. No way around that. Definitely no knee coverage for those looking for longer board shorts... Plus side is my upper thighs won't be as blindingly white as they've been in prior summers!

Haven't worn them in the wet stuff yet, but the look and the feel of these already makes them a winner. Very comfortable, soft feel. They look even better than in the pictures, but no surprise there.

Sizing: True to size, but likely order down if you are between sizes. I'm usually a 31 in jeans, and I got a 30 inch waist in these bad boys. Better for them to stay on!

Get them. They're good.
