ah, the smell of pine trees and being above the clouds. add that in with some long hard days, some steep exposed climbing and you got yourself an adventure.

i use this bad boy for everything in the colder months. It's awesome for my trail runs, although I wish the orange was brighter to keep the hunters from thinking I'm game. The wool isn't as soft as my socks but feels more durable. Smells like a wet dog after I use it but way better than that stank BO you get from other fabrics. Got an awesome fit for my lean body and the pocket is great for a car key or handwarmers.

i've put some substantial miles on these shoes and they still perform well. My second run in them was about 11 miles without any problems. They are quite waterproof but some water is able to very slowly leak through when they are submerged. The lacing system works great, the footing is secure, and the tread lasts a while . I wear smartwool mini socks and have been comfortable from snow to 90 degree weather.

bad things: (1)the zipper pulls fell off. no big deal: replaced with string.(2)no water bottle holders! weird. no big deal. bought a camelback. much better.(3)butt slid in winter. scratched up the bottom. solution: cover with duct tape when you plan on beating it up.
awesome pack. great dorsal ventilation. comfortable + light. good for a day hike, better for an UL overnight/multinight trip.pockets in hipbelt great for a small(one clif bar per pocket)snack or a camera. bottom line: great pack that'll get lots of use.
