James P.wrote a review of ALPS Mountaineering Zephyr 3 Tent: 3-Person 3-Season on May 29, 2010
Purchased this about a year ago, and used it on a BWCA trip with my wife and her parents. The two of us found the 3 person to be a good fit for 2 people. Wouldn't want to cram 3 in here though.
Stormed on us real good one night, and we stayed completely dry, heavy winds and all! We were up there in June, and it was pretty cool a couple of nights. This tent is all mesh/screen, so keep that in mind. On the flip side, it would be great for a night with no chance of rain, skip the fly, and stare at the stars.
Based on a reveiw I read on another site, we did add one additional pull for a stake in the middle of the head end on the fly. When I set is up, I did find that it had a tendency to sag right there, and come in contact with the tent itself. Some extra strap material and a little heavy duty sewing, and it was perfect.
I did purchase the footprint, but it took a couple of months to locate it in stock somewhere.
Overall this tent seems outstanding after my 1 use of it, and for the price I'd be hard pressed to do better.
