Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is perfect for days when temperatures range from just under freezing to upwards of 50 degrees. Covers the neck, isn't too bulky and isn't too tight. You can adjust it easily to cover your face or drop it down. Folds up tight and small if it gets too warm out as well.

And it's more than "extra jersey material" as others have said. It's more like a stretchy thermal baselayer material?soft and smooth.

I have a fairly small head, yet I've always had a hard time finding cycling hats that will cover all of my ear lobes. This hat is both very warm (sort of a fleece-lining) and covers all of my earlobes with a little room to spare.

My only complaint is that it can slip down a bit over my eyebrows and start to cover my eye sockets if I don't have it perfectly positioned.

As others have said, the material is very light and breathable--great for summer/warm weather rides. They have no sleeve grips (which I like), but do have a bottom/waist grip (that's very light and doesn't ride up). I've got two of these now and will probably end up getting another soon. The rear pockets are pretty standard, but don't hold as much as you may be used to, which is pretty common for such a light, tight jersey. The middle pocket has an external mini zipper pocket as well.

These are definitely race cut, but Medium is very comfortable for me: 5'11", 150, 30" waist, slim arms.
