The Mission Re-Flex binding is great. They can crank down truly tight and are very easy to release, unlike some bindings that I have used. The mechanisms feel solid and work smoothly. The flex is pretty firm, which I like. I find that the Burton men's size small bindings work better for me (female) than the women's size large.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have owned one, then two, of these jackets ever since Patagonia came out with them. It is not puffy, yet it is incredibly warm and I am easily cold! It layers nicely (I go up a size) , and it has pit zips for when you get a little too hot for exertion. Both of mine were stolen this year and I am here buying a new one. It is very expensive, even on sale, but it keeps me warm, and that makes the difference between loving the mountain or wanting to go home! I have used it for skiing, snowboarding and other cold winter outdoor activities. The zipper did seem a little small and light for such a jacket, but I have never had a problem with it. I skied in temps of - 10 F and lower and , with layers, it kept me warm and happy. Even my big puffy down jacket does not do as well, and it is too bulky to move around in.

I do not have a lot of experience with snowboard bindings, but I do like this one. It is indeed a fast alternative to the typical ratchet-type binding. It is a two step process to fasten it on and a one step to release. It will hold your foot tight with no problem or discomfort. My daughters and I all use these bindings.

I am tall and thin and love the hotline. The straps fit well and could even be a little longer (I wear XS). I like that they are not adjustable, because I find that the adjusting buckles on strappy tops are either uncomfortable ot get in the way of packs or I hit there on a rock and end up getting hurt by it. I have several of these collected over the years. It washes well and is great for anything from climbing to hiking to a night out. It is true that I do not need a whole lot of support, so I cannot speak for that, but I have paid full price for this top and it was worth every expensive penny.
