I hate having the bottom cuff on my tights/thermal layer inside my ski boot. These overlap the top few inches of my ski sock (BTW -Defeet are the only sock to wear) but they do it above the top of my boot eliminating any pressure points inside the boot when I really crank them down. Tried several brands and these are by far the best. Provide nice compression and and come up above the hip bone so I can tuck in my upper layer. 6' 3" 185 lbs. and the L is perfect.
This thing is big, really big. It barely fits into my jersey pocket. Also, the inner pockets/dividers are made from neoprene and add unneeded bulk and weight. The inner pockets may not fit the brand of multi-tool, patch kit, or tire levers that you own. I could only fit one of my Park Tool levers in the sleeve provided. There is no place for a CO2 canister or pump. Also, the cell phone sleeve is tight for my iphone 4 with a cover on it. It fit no problem without the cover. I put a 4x6 photo on top of it for comparison, and it was the exact same size. Now imagine a stack of 4x6 photos over 1.5 inches thick, and that is the true, unloaded size of this.
The construction and materials seem to be of excellent quality, but it is just too much of a good thing for my taste.

Nice bibs. Good styling. Not Italian race fit, so don't size up. Only thing keeping this from getting 5 stars from me is the inseam length. I wish it was a bit longer as these ride mid thigh and I like a little more coverage. I am 6'2" and wear and XL.
Just received my XL today, and it sure fits odd . Very tight across the biceps and roomy across the chest and belly. I'm 6'2" and 187 lbs. I'm no body builder nor do I have chicken wings for arms, I'd say I'm pretty average in the arms. As far as the body goes my chest is 42", so once again pretty average w/no belly. It just feels off with the extremely tight sleeves and loose body. For me the body is club fit with extreme race fit in the arms. For comparison I wear an XL in Castelli and it is pretty race/Italian fitting. My XL Pearl Izumi stuff is a bit bigger and more of a club fit jersey. I love the fabric, and as far as the styling goes I really like it, so that makes it even harder to decide wether I should return this or not. Maybe I simply got an XL with M sleeves sewn on by accident.
Inseam length on a xxl?
Does anyone know the inseam length? On a XL or XXL specifically?
Pearl Izumi makes great stuff. I own bibs from Castelli and Giordana as well and these are by far my favorite pair. All of my Pearl Izumi products outlast the other brands and perform great. Keep in mind these are sized differently than the italian brands. I wear a 2XL in Castelli and I wear an XL in these (6'3" 185lbs.).
