I bought one of these and liked it so much I had to get another. You seriously won't believe how soft and comfortable this sweater is. I've worn both of my sweaters extensively to work and haven't had any problems with durability or shrinkage as mentioned in the other review. The only potential downside is that after many uses the fabric will develop some pills. I purchased a cheap battery operated depiller and it works great and keeps the sweaters looking brand new. The depiller was a good investment because I was able to use it on some of my synthetic clothes that have the same issue. Overall, this sweater is worth the money and the extra care. I'm 5'9" 160 and the medium fits perfectly. Yep, I gotta admit I look pretty good with this on.

This shirt is quickly working its way up my list of favorites. The fabric is soft, light weight, and remains comfortable even when wet. Don't count on it miraculously speeding up evaporation to keep you dry but it will keep you stink free and stylish. I've found that wearing so much money also inspires me to train harder like I'm going to disappoint my gear or something. I would give this shirt 5 stars if it weren't for the fit. The item description here lists the fit as athletic but if you happen to own an Icebreaker Tech T I can tell you the fit and length are similar to that and even slightly larger. I prefer my running shirts to be a little more fitted and Icebreaker was closer to perfection with their Velocity crew. I'm 5'9" 160 and should have gone with a small rather than a medium.

I purchased a number of Icebreaker garments before committing to this "piece" and I was immediately disappointed by this so-called performance jacket. First of all (and this is the honest truth), when I hold my arms straight out to my sides this jacket lifts up so much it exposes my belly button because the shoulders are cut like that of a blazer, resulting in a very restricted range of motion. This is not a good attribute for the active lifestyle. Also, unlike conventional fleece this jacket has very little stretch which only makes the poor design more evident. I'm 5'9" 160, and tried going with the medium which has always fit me in other Icebreaker tops. This jacket sports a left-sided zipper which I don't like on men's clothing. There is also an oddly prominent tuxedo butt and I don't understand the purpose of that. I get the idea of trim contemporary styling but even my family of Icebreaker lovers had nothing good to say about the fit of this top when I showed it to them and they were convinced I was sent a women's jacket by accident. It's very slim in the chest, waist, and especially the hips, yet the shoulders are quite broad and the sleeves are baggy and long. The fabric is soft next to the skin but the black exterior is a little glossier than you might expect.

For the record, I really like Icebreaker clothing and still use it and recommend it. This garment is just a very poor design to the degree that the company should never have sold any of these until changes were made. If you look at other reviews online you'll see similar complaints about this garment. I had read them prior to purchasing but my confidence in Icebreaker got the better of me this time.
