These pants are really light weight and comfortable...but they are very very short! To fit properly on my waist/hips, I would have purchased a size 6, but in order to be long enough I had to get a size 10 Long! They just barely stayed on my hips...so super comfy yes, definitely not flattering! Someday, some outdoor company will make hiking pants for tall girls. I'm 5'10" and 140 lbs which isn't even that tall, I have a 34" inseam...well, its 34" to my ankle and I really have issues with pants that don't cover my ankles!

This bag is ridiculously warm...and that says a lot coming from a girl who is always cold! I took this bag up Kilimanjaro with me and had to sleep with it unzipped every night until it got below freezing. I'm 5'10" and have a regular size bag which was plenty to put pretty much all my clothes in. My only two complaints were 1. I was so warm that I woke up every morning with mad amounts of condensation on the top of the bag, it would be soaked. I'd dry it the best I could, pack it away and then lay it in the sun the next camp we got to. 2. There is so much loft around the shoulders and neck that the zipper got stuck for me a lot. It was fine if you were paying attention...but when you are groggy at 2am and trying to get out to use the bathroom, it was easy to get stuck!

When it got into the single digits at night I would put a hand warmer in the bag by my feet and they stayed nice and toasty...no bag on the planet would keep my feet warm without it!

I am 5'10" and have a 34" inseam and I have a size small in these (the med were fine until I put pants on over them and then went hiking...they fell down so I got a size smaller). Med or Small tho, these pants only come to about 6" below my knees. I don't like it but until outdoor gear companies start making longs...and I mean real longs (mtn hardwear, columbia and north face all claim they have longs in their hiking pants but I have to buy a size 10 instead of a 6 to get them long enough) then you might need to become a fan...or find a workaround. I wear unltra thin thorlo ski socks which come to my knee with these capilenes and it works out great. Less seems around your ankles too.

I'm 5'10", wear a size 4 or 6 usually and have a 34" inseam. I had bought Columbia Longs before and they were barely long enough in flats but after one washing they shrunk. I knew North Face made longs and figured I'd try a pair of their hiking pants. Unfortunately, same result. I even bought a size 8 in hopes that if it was a little big, it would hang on my hips and be longer so I could actually wear hiking boots! It's hard to understand why the makers of hiking apparel is the last to recognize tall people :(
