I use this as my "work" rain jacket persay, if I know I'm in a situation that I could ruin a piece of clothing. It works well for what it is, it's a plasticky rain jacket, with a material face. It's not breathable at all, feels like wearing a rubber rain jacket. I do like that it features pit zips for when you do get warm and clammy. The waterproof dwr coating holds up pretty well, just pop it in the dryer on high heat to reactivate if if starts wetting out. I've had to retreat mine because of the abuse I've put it through, but overall works well for what it is.

I love this jacket. It's one of my favorite cold weather jackets, it's so light for how warm it is. Keeps me the perfect temp, very comfortable, true sizing. Nice soft lines hand warmer pockets, stuffs into its own pocket. Insulated hood keeps the ol'noggin warm. Overall, this is a must have piece if your looking for a warm down jacket.

Very comfortable vest! For the sales and deals ive see on it, its worth it! The 800 fill down is very warm. Keeps you toasty. The fit is snug, i almost found a XL too small (XL is the normal fit for me in all other brands). Lots of pockets, i love how it stuffs down into itself, makes it easy for stowing away in your pack, makes it available whenever needed. Very nice piece of gear. I normally dont like vests, but decided to give one a try, and im glad i did.

I absolutely love these shoes. The search for a perfect shoe has come to a end for me. I love them so much I actually have 3 pairs of them. They're quality made, I've had my first pair for almost a year, and they're holding up very well. I use these as my every day shoe. They're water resistant to a point, been stuck in the rain with them and my feet stayed dry. The tread is nice and aggressive, work well on all surfaces. Plenty of support for all day on the feet activities. Overall, couldn't be happier, money very well spent.

These may seem thin, but they do the job! They're thin so dexterity is still there, they don't get in the way. The inside has a nice fleece lining, nice and soft on the hands. Have worn these riding my motorcycle, and they definitely keep the wind at bay. Overall, a great pair of gloves! Use them as a liner, and you'll be set for any kind of weather.

This is a great shell if you're looking for zip in comparability. I've found that the zip ins from Columbia work as well, not sure about other brands. I zip in either my Denali, or when it's really chilly, my Columbia 800 fill down onmiheat jacket (paid a whopping $10 for, best deal I ever found). This jacket is solid for protection with the goretex, waterproof and windproof. I do like how the hood zips off. Wish it had pit zips, would partner up perfectly with the denali's pit zips as well for dumping heat. Overall, it's a great jacket at a good price, probably the best jacket around with zip in compatibility if you're looking for that.

Bought these on super clearance, and boy am I glad I did! These are really quality pants! They're true to the goretex name, they're waterproof and wind proof. Very comfortable fit. I went a size larger for laying. For the price I paid, you could get 2 for the price of a comparable pair from another company. Highly recommend these. Wore them through several heavy rain storms hiking, and I stayed completely dry no problems at all.

This is usually my around town jacket, sometimes used as a layer piece for the frigid temperatures. This jacket is very comfortable, smooth and soft to the touch. The fleece used is very high quality, washed many times and hasnt pilled. The pit zips is very unique for a fleece, and actually works extremely well. Lots of pockets to stow things away, and a DWR coating for light rain if you managed to get caught in some. Overall this is the go to heavy fleece ,cant beat it.

This is my go to light weight shell. Very well fitting, waterproof shell. The paclite is a little clammy against your skin when your sweaty becuase there is no backing material, but cam be resolved by openeing up the pit zips and the front of the jacket to allow some air in. Sizing is true, i picked mine up in a little bigger size because i found it on super sale and couldnt pass it up for the price. I use it to layer over a fleece sometimes in the colder weather, works well in all conditions.

This is a very nice light weight waterproof shell. Minimal features for light weight, this shell is well worth the money. The active shell really does breath better than other goretex membranes, can feel the difference in warmer climates. The pit zips work well, and the chest pockets double as vents because theyre mesh backed. The fit is slim, definitely hugs your body more than other cuts. Overall im very impressed with the jacket, plan on having it for many years to come.

This is a great piece. I found it on super sale last year and had to snag it. Very comfortable, warm. Works well as a stand alone piece in milder temperatures, has a DWR coating which works well for the light rain if you by chance get caught. Plenty of pockets, the interior security pocket doubles as a stuff pocket, can compress this jacket down to a small package. Overall a great piece, works well as a heavy mid later under a shell for those brutally cold days, or use it as a stand alone piece for those 30-40 degree days.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just purchased this jacket after many trips to different stores to try on different shells (seems like every store carries different arcteryx jackets...) and finally went with the Rush. Excellent fitting, plenty of room for a heavy mid layer (atom SV) for those really chilly days. The jacket is long, plenty of cover. The material is nice and burly, dont see anything really messing with it. 3 way adjustable hood is very comfortable with or without a helmet. The powder skirt lacks draw cord adjustment, but fits snuggly against me, no complaints. The build quality is top notch. Was deciding between this or the Theta AR, but i found the Theta to be a little too baggy for the size that fits me, i like a slightly slimmer fitting jacket so i dont look like a puff ball. Overall i am very happy with the jacket, time will tell how it holds up, but i dont foresee any problems.

This jacket is my go to jacket. In little warmer temps (40 or so) its perfect as a main layer, any lower pair it up with a shell and you have a bomber setup. True to fit (looser fitting than the atom LT) The inside material is very soft on the skin and comfortable. This jacket is very similar to the north face's redpoint optimus jacket, similar insulation and fit with minor differences. The TNF jacket has more pockets, stuffs into itself with one of the interior napoleon pockets, and the front zipper is a smaller 2 way zipper which can be a pain in the butt to zip sometimes. The Atom SV's zipper sometimes seems to have issues staying all the way zipped, but it doesnt bother me. Overall this is an amazing stand alone or layering piece in the severe cold. Highly recommend.

I have the previous year's sabre sv in squid ink. This jacket sees year round use, even though it has a snow skirt (which i found helps in the wind) The micro fleece backed goretex is nice on the skin, except for i have one seam which seems to be a little itchy sometimes in the armpit area. The softshell is soft and supple, not as noisy as a regular proshell or paclite. The jacket is very loose fitting, a size XL expedition cut jacket fits me perfect with a light mid layer, but this relaxed fit is a bit larger, would accomodate for more layers if you wanted. The length is good for me, i prefer my jackets to be a little longer to prevent riding up and keep the cold out. The waterproof zippers are true to name, ive worn this jacket through rain storms with no water getting in. The squid ink color is more bluish in person. Overall, i highly recommend this jacket if you plan on using it for snow sports, or anything really.

I have the previous year of the fission sv. This jacket is seriously warm! Physical activity without it being in the 20-30s max, might be too warm. The jacket is true to fit with the expedition fit (slightly slimmer than other expedition fit jackets), very comfortable. The insulated hood really helps keep the heat in. The 2 different goretex materials work well, high wear areas having a heavier denier, and low wear areas (most of the body) is covered in a lower denier which is smoother and makes less noise. Adjustable hem, and through the hand warmer pockets there are cords for adjusting the stomach hem which pulls the center of the jacket in, allowing for more warmth and a slimmer fit if you want it snug up against you. The only downside i found with the jacket, the pleats on the handwarmer pockets. They dont hold to shape (mine didnt anyways) and they are puckered out and look funny. They look to be folded and ironed into place, but when stressed too much they seem to stay un folded. Other than that, im extremely pleased with the jacket. If youre looking for ultimate warmth from a single layer, this is the way to go!
