Nicholas 's Bio

First descents down Denali, victories in alpine freeskiing contests, big lines in ski movies, appearances in ski magazines, high results in endurance races and yoga teaching certifications make up just a fraction of Nick Devore’s impressive resume. Recognized as one of the worlds most progressive telemark skiers, DeVore shatters telemark stereo-types and continues to diminish the gap between alpine and freeheel skiing. . “He’s probably one of the best, if not the best, Telemarker out there today.”
(Telemark Skier, October 2007)

More importantly, DeVore lives in a Teepee, grows vegetables, bow hunts and is learning to live a sustainable lifestyle. He dreams of creating a "permaculture," by combining his play with work at home in the Elk Mountains.

The bomb stove

The Whisper Light has proven itself in every condition over many years. I have relied on it deep in the Alaskan wilderness, in Europe, and on the beaches of Asia. I like it because its simple, light, and quiet. Unlike the XKG for example, you can still have a conversation while preparing dinner. Its easy to clean and maintain and simply cooks food when you need it the most.

The Verdict is my favorite resort ski. It carves like Im a racer, is quick and responsive in the bumps, and is still sweet when it dumps. Cant go wrong with the Verdict. A slight rocker tip helps it float and the camber lets it rip. As Colorado has not seen much snow this winter, this is what I have been skiing on and I love it!

This is the ski!

The Zealot is an awesome all round ski. Its playful but can also charge. Its width and dimensions are perfect for almost all conditions. This is my ski of choice in Alaska and on the resort in Colorado. The early rise tip helps it float while the camber still lets it carve and charge. Highly recommended!!

I love this ski, traveled around the world and the zealot was always there for me, keep it simple and this is the only board one needs. The rocker tip has really helped me cut back on the tele face plants. The 182 can wiggle through tight trees, carve groomers and is sweet on big ak lines, a very playful ski.
