i'm 5'8", 152 lbs, 31 waist. usually a 31-32"length. i got the med/regular and they were really baggy, had a lot of room in the waist and very baggy at the bottom. ended up getting a small/short and small/regular for comparison, and ultimately the small/short was a good fit between being loose but not baggy, with plenty of room to move. shorts look better than any other convertible i've tried. and the length of the short was better with hiking boots without bunching up too much or dragging in the back. useful pockets, good pant for the price. thanks to backcountry for their awesome return policy which let me figure out the perfect size without worrying.

great fit, well tailored cut thats not super baggy. they have a good athletic fit and are a good compromise if you dont want to shell out $$ for the gamma LT. only problem i had with them was when you zip off the bottoms to make em shorts, they look a little too tight around the thigh. and they could use an extra pocket. preferred the north face paramount convertibles as shorts.

so ultimately, great look as pants, not so great as shorts. i'm 5'8", 152 lbs, 31 waist and the medium fit perfectly.

Super comfortable and awesome stretch material. really great fit, well tailored so they're not baggy. Perfect for doing outdoors doing the day and then wearing them straight into town at night for dinner. only problem is, the black pair almost looked like i was hiking in dress pants straight from work. will be picking up the ironwood instead. I'm 5'8", 152 lbs, 31 waist and the small fits perfect.
