Great Gloves!
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 160 lbs
Size Purchased: Large

I have had these gloves for the past 3 years and they are amazing. Once broken in they fit great, are extremely warm (almost too warm) and so far have held up very well. I use them quite a bit but the outside temps should be below freezing. One perk is that I receive compliments all the time! From Men, Women, Kids.... almost every time I am on the lift line. One thing I would change is to have a Wrist Cord installed so they can hang off my wrist when I have to take them off. I don't want to worry about dropping them as snow gets in the cuff area pretty easily.
These are so goo I am considering a mitten set.
CON: They are expensive.

This looks like a great pant... Well made and possibly bombproof. Problem is it runs small in the waist and long in the leg. I am a medium in all my clothes... ski or otherwise. The bib was way too tight and the legs long. I have been in Arcteryx Mediums for the past 8 years. It seems all the manufacturers are going to tight waists, long legs and baggy fits. That's fine if we all had the perfect proportions, but not so. If you are going to have adjustments to make the waist smaller then you should start off with a little bit of room in the waist especially on a shell pant when you need to add layers.

I am generally a medium in all my clothes. Tired this pant in a medium and the bib and waist were too tight. Cloud not even close the pants. Went to the large... waist was better but bib was still uncomfortably tight. Pant legs were extremely long in the size large for me. Size medium was better in the length but too tight in the waist.
Norrona needs to get their sizing in order.

I have not had a down jacket for quite some time and I forgot how amazing down is for warmth to weight ratio. This is made even better by Columbia with the turbodown. No cold spots and its even waterproof.
Jacket fits great except for the fact its a bit on the long side, but the dual zipper makes up for that. Extremely comfortable and very warm. I took a size medium... and it fit with room to spare for a thin Mid-layer hybrid jacket. I had to wear a hybrid mid-layer on a single digit day. Riding the long lifts I tend to get a bit of a chill.
Never found the jacket bulky. It seems to breathe well and holds up to tree skiing.... so far. I wear TNF Powder Guide vest over all my jackets (Ex Patroller) which adds a bit or protection and warmth.
If you can find the Heatzone 1000 in stock... GO FOR IT! You wont be sorry.

Nice Styling but not Bomb Proof!
4 5

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 160 lbs
Size Purchased: Medium

First of all I wear a 33 jean and 42 sport coat. The pants are tight in the waist and roomy everywhere else. I cant snap the front with layers underneath. Since it is a shell you definitely need layers! Norrona's sizing is way off. Long in the legs and tight in the waist.... and that would be perfect if the person wearing the pants had perfect proportions. They fail to take into account we all don't have 6 pack abs and long legs. After one day of boarding there was a small cut it the very bottom of one of the pant legs. Not BOMB PROOF! As far as keeping the elements out it was great... Gore-Tex rocks. I am a medium in Arcteryx and have always been a Medium. With the Norrona Pants I seem to need a large just to fit in the waist.??? If you make tabs for cinching the waist then the waist should be a bit on the larger side just to start.... Especially with a relaxed fit pant!! Especially with a shell where you need to layer up!! I should not have to purchase a Large Pant just to fit in the waist, especially with my proportions. I am generally a solid Medium. I feel this has been said in many other reviews but the Mfg does not seem to listen. You have to know your market. I had many compliments on the pants and they ( the white ones) looked great with my black jacket. I did add suspenders just to keep the pants up as they tend to slip down a bit. They come with some sort of powder skirt but that is useless without the matching jacket.
Noronna... the quality of your materials and designs are great, but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. Especially for the prices you charge for your clothing.

This is a really nice jacket. Good for warmer weather as a top layer as well as a nice light insulating layer. Breathes very well and is soft to the touch.
Norrona quality. Took a size Medium, as I am 5'8 and 160lbs and looking for something a bit loose. Small would have been uncomfortable and tight. The Medium was still a bit on the tighter side, but bearable with only a t-shirt underneath. The only thing I did not like was the color. I ordered the Purple and it was a very light purple... not a rich saturated color. More of a pastel. Lucky it was on sale or it would have been sent back. Norrona needs to get their act together with style (Colors) and fit. If you are not tall and lean this brand is not for you. Personally Mountain HW or ArcTeryx are better choices.

Looking for something to throw over an t shirt while travelling and also use for skiing as a under layer. Fit was strange.. loose on top, very loose in the arms and tight at the mid section. I am about 5'8

This is my wifes second pair and we did order up a size yet the golve was too narrow/small. Good quality, would like see they sized accordingly. My wifes hands are not large at all and the glove was way too narrow. If she went up another size the fingers would have been to long. Better to stick to the mens model and at a regualr size.

I have been a Salomon advocate for the past several years, but i thought i give the Dynafits a try. I like that the choices are limited to two styles; the Superlight Feline and the Gortex Feline. If you make a great product then there is no need to have multiple styles, colors, etc.
The shoes are on a bit of the narrow size and I needed to go a full size larger than my shoe size. I am a 10 shoe, 10.5 in a Salomon, and an 11 in the Dynafit. The 10.5 fit me, but I prefer a little more room in the toe area.
They are extremely comfortable and seem to have great support and stability. I have not yet used them for any extended period of time, so I will have to just comment of the obvious. The lacing system could be better and I am waiting to see if the Aura System really makes a difference. While many companies begin with running shoes designed for level ground and try to develop them for mountain usage, DYNAFIT has taken the opposite approach.
I have purchsed both styles of Dynafits... one I use for Trail Running/Traininig and one I will be using for 100 mile Equine Endurance Rides. There are many times you need to dismount in rough terrain with the necessity of walking or trotting you horse in hand over treacherous terrain for several hundred yards. I hope this shoe will procvide safety in the saddle as well as out.

I returned my Norrona jacket and went back to old reliable Arc! It superlight.... warm... packable.... and the fit is very good. I am 155lbs and 5'8 and the medium fits well and leave room for an extra midlayer. But I dont think I will ever need it unless the temps drop to 10 and below.
The lack of high chest pockets is my only complaint, but other than that Arcteryx hit the mark.
I sometimes forget I am wearing the jacket in the house because it is so light and breathable.

I just received the jacket and after waitng several months for it to go on sale, I finally did the purchase. I was stoked to receive it, but very disappointed in the fit. The body was not bad, but the sleeves were very tight. No room for a layer and in a t shirt they were barely comfortable. I am not overly muscular... just average. 150lbs and 5"8". Yes the sleeves are long, but that can be dealt with, but the arms...really tight!
The jacket is light and the Sulphur is a sick color. It would also be nice to have a waterproof inside pocket. I loved the long pit zips and the overall design is good.
If Norrona is going to sell their products in the States with any success, I would suggest they redesign the fit of their garments.
I think for now ArcTeryx or Mountain Hardwear are better choices when it comes to quality, fit, and performance.... You will get more bang for the buck.
I really wanted to like this jacket, but it has to be returned.

One of the best running shoes I have had to date! I run mostly in the desert which is almost like running on concrete and they performed well. Great cushioning, good support, and great grip... be it concrete, rocks, or dirt. These are far better than the XTS Lab 3's with much better overall support.
the sole is so grippy that i use them for sports as well, as I am an avid Lacrosse player and coach.
The color rocks! The first night out just walking around with them I received many compliments and still do today. I am getting ready to purchase another pair just for hanging out... :-).
