Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size
I tried 7 jackets (from Patagonia, Arcteryx, Lofoten)before choosing the Rush and I'm very happy. I was looking for a jacket that works for resort and backcountry skiing, and the occasional rock scramble while carrying a pack and skis and the Rush totally fits the bill. It fits great without any extra bulk, the arms have full ROM, the storm hood is easy to use and fits over any helmet, the powderskirt is bomb-proof and the bottom opening is wide enough so there's no restriction of leg movement. The material is very durable so far, and the internal and external pockets and venting are quick to use and perfectly placed. The jacket fits great with a backpack too.
I tried the Patagonia Primo and didn't like the fit - tons of material around the torso, and the same for the Arcteryx caden, sidewinder and sidewinder SV - too bulky. For sizing I'm 5'11 175 lbs with big thighs and the Medium fits great. I've worn this jacket in whiteout conditions above treeline and hiking ridges on sunny days dripping sweat and the jacket does wonders for blocking wind and moisture control - a huge plus if you sweat a lot.
