as others have stated, this bag is BIG. We got the 185 and were able to fit my skis (141s), my husbands (170s), 2 pairs of kids skis, 2 pairs of poles, a pair of boots, 2 helmets AND a bunch of clothes. The trick is getting it on the plane! We flew AirTran and I emailed ahead and researched their rules on checking skis. Apparently, certain sports equipment can weigh up to 70lbs and still count as the first checked bag- I only paid $15 to check this monstrosity BOTH ways. I highly recommend CURBSIDE check-in! OR just make a little fuss and show the check in person your email from corporate that explains the rules. You'd think they'd know all this in DENVER, but they tried to make me get it down to 50 lbs (it was 62) until i put up a little fuss and showed them the email ; ). Like another reviewer mentioned, it was VERY difficult to use the wheels as the bag sagged in the middle no matter how we packed it. Get a shorter bag than you think you need or be prepared to carry it. Also, getting it into the car was tricky since it was so big/heavy/long. Overall, it works well for us and is well made.
